Position Summary

OptiMed is seeking qualified candidates Account Manager position in our Individual Product Segment
business to support our increasing national sales growth and to continue providing our brokers,
clients, and our national sales team with a Best-in-Class experience.

The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of the Health Insurance Industry and be
willing to further their development and sales experience through a Jr. Sales position with
OptiMedHealth. The Jr. Sales Representative will work closely with the Vice President of sales to
understand our health insurance products, how we position them in the marketplace, and ultimately
to sell those products independently. The long term objective of the position is to move into a
Vice President of sales role at OptiMed Health.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with VP of Sales to conduct special marketing projects to increase broker
base
• Work with current broker sales partners to increase sales (across all product lines)
• Conduct telemarketing activities to generate leads and expand client base
• Provide excellent customer service to brokers and general agents,
addressing their “service/products” needs and inquiries to include quoting new plans.
• Ability to address products & coverage questions regarding our insurance services
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional service
• Become proficient with our internal systems and be able to demo to our sales partners
• Maintain client records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Stay up-to-date with insurance market trends, products, and regulations

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• Mininum 1 year Employee Benefits experience
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
• Proficiency with the Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel…)

• Familiarity with Employee Benefits administration processes and procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to handle sensitive information with
confidentiality
• Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and learn new insurance products
